The Asia Foundation Japan
In partnership with the International Labor Organization (ILO) and the Japan CSO Network, the Foundation organized a national symposium on trafficking in persons (TIP) in Japan. The first ever to include high level policymakers, law enforcement officials, staff of foreign embassies, lawyers, and NGOs.
International Organization for Migration (IOM) Japan
IOM Mission in Japan assists with the voluntary return of trafficking victims to their home countries in close collaboration with relevant government agencies, NGOs and Embassies. It has supported several studies on the trafficking of Asian women to Japan. This information has been shared amongst governmental agencies, international organizations, and Embassies, and is available upon request.
International Movement against All forms of Discrimination and Racism (IMADR)
Combating human trafficking, in particular trafficking in of women for the purpose of sexual exploitation, has been one of the main priorities of IMADR's activities.
ECPAT STOP Japan
ECPAT STOP Japan lobbies for legislation against child pornography and against penalizing children who use the internet to access online dating sites. ECPAT STOP Japan works closely with industry, government and law enforcement to combat internet child pornography and is a member of Japan’s Internet Hotline Expert Network.
Asia - Japan Women's Resource Centre
Asia-Japan Women's Research Centre (AJWRC) facilitates discussions and actions for women in Asia through envisioning an alternative future society, including empowerment seminars, women’s study groups, campaigns, advocacy and research, and training and workshops, based on gender justice, ecology and local & global democracy where poverty, oppression and discrimination are eliminated.
