Production and distribution of a leaflet for South Korean victims of overseas prostitution

In response to the increasing number of South Korean women being enticed into overseas prostitution through deceptive job search sites and advertisements, Women’s Human Rights Commission of Korea has produced a leaflet aimed at such women for distribution through anti-prostitution/Sex Traffiicking organizations in countries where the victimization of South Korean women has been reported (the United States, New Zealand, Australia, and Canada).
Considering that overseas prostitution of South Korean women is closely related to the globalization of human trafficking (particularly sex trafficking), one of the goals of the leaflet is to enlist cooperation from pertinent overseas anti-prostitution organizations.
The leaflet includes the definition of a victim of prostitution and/or sex trafficking; victim identification indices; examples of victimization; victim support systems in the host country; victim protection and support programs in South Korea; and contact details for victim support organizations in South Korea. The leaflet is now displayed and distributed through overseas anti-prostitution organizations and their websites.
You can also download the PDF version of the leaflet (both Korean and English) here.
